Bianchi D2 Crono Triathlon

The Crono Triathlon is part of Bianchi's special D2 product range, which is designed to meet the needs of specialist disciplines such as cyclo cross, time trials and track racing. The D2 Crono is intended as a competition ready triathlon/time trial bike - and it delivers race performance that is well beyond its price bracket.

The Crono frame is constructed from aerodynamically profiled 7005 series double butted tubes, and comes complete with a matching carbon aero seatpost. The Bianchi FKU carbon fork is also heavily bladed for maximum aerodynamic efficiency. The geometry of the D2 Crono is time trial specific, with a traditional time trailing seat angle of 75-76 degrees, depending on frame size, low head tubes for an aggressive riding position, and short chain stays integrated into a stiff bottom bracket area for maximum power transfer.

Quality finishing kit on the D2 Crono completes an excellent triathlon package, with a San Marco Ponza TT saddle, FSA Vision aero bars, and Microshift bar end shifters. For 2010 we are offering exclusive Squadra Edition models across much of the Bianchi range, in addition to the standard models of course, that feature superb upgraded wheels at minimal cost - in the case of the D2 Crono the Squadra Edition wheelset is the ever popular Mavic Cosmic Elite, which provide true aero advantage combined with silky hubs, strong rims and bladed spokes.

All-in-all, the Bianchi D2 Crono Triathlon Squadra is a race machine that is capable of top level performance at a reasonable cost, with levels of finish, class and quality that are unusual at this price point.
