Bianchi ImpulsoThe beautiful Impulso is the latest addition to Bianchi's aluminium C2C (Coast to Coast) range. The Impulso's geometry has been designed to offer a riding position that is a little more relaxed than their traditional out-and-out race orientated set-up, while not being so laid back that performance is compromised - making ideal as a sportive bike that will double as a competitive road bike. Several of the Vaconsoleil WorldTour team decided to ride the 2012 Tour of Flanders on the Bianchi Impulso, a triple hydroformed ride-tuned aluminum frame with excellent rigidity to weight ratio. The slightly bigger width of the rear triangle makes it possible to run wheels featuring wider tubulars, normally chosen by pro riders to face cobbels. “For this kind of courses I always prefer aluminum" rider Leukemans stated "Impulso is a rigid frame on asphalt and a comfortable frame on cobbles, without wasting power transmission". Italian rider Marcato: “I was never so quick on the cobbles. As for stability and reactivity, the Impulso is the perfect bike to run the Northern Classics”. The Impulso was designed to be a true head-turner of a bike, but its main purpose is to ride as well as all Bianchi bikes do - the Impulso offers accurate and stable handling over the worst of roads, thanks in large part to the triple hydroformed head tube area, with fast pick-up and good levels of comfort. |

The carbon fork uses the same K-Vid technology as its C2C stablemates, in which kevlar is woven into fork blades to increase shock absorption without adding weight or affecting fork strength. The Impulso also features a new method, called "triple hydroforming", of welding the top, head and down tubes to produce a level of finish that is incredibly smooth. In frames constructed using Triple Hydroformed Technology (an exclusive to Bianchi) the top and head tubes undergo an individual hydroformation process, and are then welded and fused together into a monocoque structure, before finally going through a second hydroformation process. The final outcome is an overall improvement of the frame’s stiffness, combined with aesthetical upgrade, with the elimination of the welding effect in the steering area.
