Cannondale CAAD10NOTE: 2013 CAAD10 models are almost sold out for the year, so please enquire about availability before travelling to see us. The Cannondale CAAD10 is quite simply the world's most advanced aluminium road frame, delivering a smoother and stiffer ride than many brands' elite carbon frames - it is ultra light too at just 1150g for a Large (56cm) frame. Designed to be an extremely exciting ride the CAAD10 has every bit of Cannondale's legendary aluminium mastery applied to it to ensure that comfort and stability are not compromised. Cannondale's ultra smooth welds and high levels of finish, combined with technical innovation and top level no compromise components, make the CAAD10 as stunning to look at as it is to ride. As review after review has pointed out - the future of aluminium is safe in Cannondale's hands with the CAAD10! "Capable of going head-to-head with many a costlier carbon offering and trouncing them… Cannondale have performed something bordering on Alchemy here." Cannondale CAAD10 - highlightsRACE GEOMETRY. RACE PERFORMANCE - The CAAD10 is a racer through and through unlike many aluminium bikes with geometries that dumb down the delight of riding a high performance aluminium race machine. SMARTFORMED 6069 ALLOY CONSTRUCTION -
The most sophisticated aluminium construction on the planet allows OPTIMISED TUBE SHAPES - Oversized, round down tube flares to meet the head tube for maximum stiffness. The massive, horizontally ovalised top tube measures a huge 47.5x42mm where it meets the head tube, narrows through the middle for knee clearance, then widens again to meet the seat stays. SPEED SAVE STAYS -
The SAVE chain and seat stays are shaped and butted to allow them to flex vertically but stay extremely stiff laterally,
offering improved acceleration and improved cornering speed and control without negatively affecting power transfer. ASYMMETRIC CHAIN STAYS - The driveside chain stay is oversized to better resist the loads from the drivetrain, while the non-drive stay is optimised for weight savings. SMOOTH WELDS - A true smooth weld, rather than the sand, putty, and paint "smooth welds" of other makes, Cannondale's trademark double-pass smooth weld technology eliminates the stress-risers and weak points found on traditionally welded frames, enabling them to build lighter, stronger frames. SPPED SAVE FORKS - Housed in the CAAD10's externally machined head tube, the 390 gram 1-1/8" to 1-1/4" tapered carbon steerer fork features offset dropouts, allowing more fork angle for vertical compliance without affecting the razor sharp handling. "Fantastic performance and value that proves aluminum is far from obsolete" Bike Radar " Cannondale's new CAAD10 frame is a shining example of what's still possible with aluminium " Bike Radar " The CAAD model range has proved that a welded aliminium frame can deliver a superb livel ride feel compared to most of today's flood of ubiquitous carbon kit" Cycling Weekly Limited Edition Models: For 2013 we are offering exclusive Limited Edition models across much of the Cannondale range that feature superb upgraded wheels at minimal cost.
