The Cannondale Synapse Alloy is not merely an aluminum copy of their award winning Carbon Synapse - it features rack mounts, mudguard clearance and long-reach brakes that expand its versatility without sacrificing its sporting soul.

The Synapse Alloy is a quick bike, but one that is equally at home on sportives, daily commutes, light touring and of course fast winter training rides.

With taper butted and uniquely shaped tubes, joined by their trademark double pass smooth welds, the Synapse Alloy continues Cannondale's tradition of aluminium mastery.

Cannondale Synapse Alloy 2012 - Highlights

PERFORMANCE GEOMETRY - the Synapse Alloy has a slightly higher headtube than Cannondale's other road race bikes (around 2.5cm taller than a SuperSix) but does not throw riders into an overly 'sit-up-and beg' position that can feel sluggish over long distances. Instead, it offers a slightly more relaxed riding position which, when combined with its longer longer wheelbase, inspires confidence and maintains an enjoyable fast ride with enhanced levels of comfort and stable handling.

SAVE PLUS REAR STAY MICRO-SUSPENSION SYSTEM - by flattening and butting the chain stays and triaxially forming the seat stays, Cannondale have created an elegant rear stay assembly that allows significant deflection vertically to absorb road shock and vibration, while staying extremely rigid laterally for power transfer and confident cornering.

CARBON BLADED FORK - carbon fork blades with integrated SAVE features provide additional comfort and sharp handling.

BB30 SYSTEM - found on both the 105 and Tiagra equipped models, BB30 is the epitome of Cannondale's innovative design culture. Invented 10 years ago to take crank and frame performance to the next level, BB30 has become the industry standard for stiffness and light weight.
