Kinesis Decade Convert2

Adaptability is the key with Decade Convert2 frame from Kinesis UK. The clever ‘Swopout’ replaceable dropouts mean that you can easily and quickly swap from vertical 130mm spacing to horizontal 120mm spacing for a track hub. This is not a twitchy, super tight angled, high bottom bracket track frame, it is designed to be useable and easily adapatable - it will take mudguards and a rack, a triple chainset and mech, or strip it right back and run it fixed or singlespeed. The Convert2 frameset builds up into the perfect all year commuter or winter trainer, and makes a great basis for a stripped down fixie with potential for ‘guards and a rack.

The paintwork on the Convert2 is a work of art - literally! Available in a classy black or rich red finish, the frame is understated with a Soviet style design incorporated into the lower part of the down tube. The result is a unique paintjob that perfectly matches the frame.

The 7005 aluminium double butted frame has a classic look and beautiful smooth welds. The geometry is based around the ever popular Racelight T2 frame, but with detail changes including shorter rear stays, keeping the wheel tighter aginst the seat tube and quickening up the handling. Clearance is still ample for mudguards used with a 23c tyre though - but if you want to run a bike without mudguards a 28c tyre can be fitted.

All Decade Convert2 bikes start with us as bare frameset modules, so can be built to your precise requirements.
