Orbea Ordu Gold

One of the very fastest bikes on the planet. The super aero Ordu is the result of a long term research programme to deliver the fastest time trial/triathlon bike on the market. The Orbea Gold ultra-high modulus carbon fibre used in the monocoque construction of the Ordu Gold provide the lowest weight and maximum stiffness possible - combined with exceptional handling the Ordu Gold offers the ultimate time trial/triathlon bike performance.

Every aspect of the 2011 Ordu was evaluated in wind tunnel testing, resulting in a 7% improvement in aerodynamic efficiency over the previous Ordu. The new headtube is uniquely designed to reduce frontal area. The new seat mast, bottom bracket shell, integrated seat clamp, and aero dropouts show that nothing has been left untouched in making the fastest bike on the road.

The Ordu features a twin position seatpost, allowing for a choice of seat angles from a conventional 74 degrees through to 80 degrees. Combined with a low headtube on the Crono Carbon SL fork, this enables riders to adopt a range of riding positions, from a traditional road bike styleposition right through to an aggressive true aerodynamic riding position.

But the Ordu is not just a bike with a slippery aero profile - it also handles like a proper road bike, so is suited to technical courses as well as flatter PB type courses. Many triathlons and sporting time trials reward riders who can hold their speed on descents and through tighter turns - and the handling and stability of the Ordu really do deliver in this department

Like the Orca, the Ordu uses what they term "Size Specific Nerve" technology (or SSN) - in plain language this means that the tube diameters and carbon laminate layers vary with frame size to ensure that the riding experience remains the same throughout the size range.

The Ordu is available as a frameset or as a complete bike. The complete bikes below are just example builds as the Ordu can be custom built to suit your own individual specification. Each model in the Ordu Gold range is built around the same frameset, and can be ordered in any of the available colour schemes. As with all Orbeas, the frameset comes with a Lifetime Warranty.
