Scott Addict 2011

The Addict has become a benchmark in carbon construction, and is known as THE bike to ride in the pro peloton. The Addict features a race inspired geometry with a slightly shorter head tube, longer top tube and slacker seat angle. The bike also features carbon dropouts, front derailleur mount and cable stops. Team Columbia-HTC consistently rides this bike to victory after victory.

The Addict HMX frame is the lightest production road frame available at just 790 grams - achievable due to Scott's state of the art Integrated Molding Process (IMP™) mated with their Naked External Tubeset (NET™), which removes the cosmetic layer of carbon and shaves precious grams off the entire frame.

The Addict has been developed with feedback from Pro-Tour athletes such as Mark Cavendish and Gilberto Simoni. When combined with the new, slimmer carbon IMP™ fork that weighs just 330 grams, the Addict RC weighs an amazing 13lb (size 54) for the complete bike.

Quite simply, the lightest production road frame in the world - but this would count for nothing if the ride didn't match up to the figures. But the reality is that it rides beautifully, as review after review highlights. Light, fast, quick handling with a silky smoothness. A test ride is highly recommended as the Addict never fails to impress!
