Monocoque frame constructed from high performance T700 carbon fibre.  Highly aerodynamic tube shapes and structure - wind tunnel proven to be one of the fastest bikes in the peleton.  Rear triangle is aero-profiled and sculpted to follow the rear wheel shape - very close fitting, but designed to accept wheel changes without deflating the tyre or resorting to horizontal dropouts.

Orbea Orca 2008   - complete builds from just £1999.99!

Using Toray M40J, the most advanced carbon fibre for bicycles, Orbea have created a frame that is lighter and stiffer than any bike they have ever made. The Orca’s size-specific tubing (which offers different shapes, thicknesses and lengths of tubing for each size in the range) has a “nerve” that runs the length of the frame to maximize stiffness and maintain a silky smooth ride.

The Orbea Orca has proved extremely popular with riders who love to climb, and it is especially suited to hilly cyclosportives (which covers most of them!).  Like all Orbea bikes, the Orca is built in the Basque country close to the Pyrenees, and the Euskaltel team based in the area specializes in taking on the big mountain stages of the Grand Tours.  Their input has ensured that the Orca goes uphill, and descends the other side, as well as any other bike around - and also leaves you feeling as fresh as possible for the dash to the line.
